SMI has conducted dozens of industry marketing tests and has resolved to create a digital photo scanning software that enables photo friendly scanning. Our research has shown that users are not intimidated by our photo-friendly scanning software. Instead, they are attracted by the simple and clean feel of our software's user interface and the remarkable ease with which they can see results happen quickly. Even the most basic users can understand the connection between our image editing menu options and the desired result they are hoping to achieve with their scanned photograph. We realize that imaging technology can be intimidating and confusing to many people. SMI has incorporated the ease of use that beginning users demand and the sophistication and ability to manually manipulate settings for more advanced users.
